Welcome to CD Tiling & Decor

Hope you will enjoy my site, and find the information that you are after.

Hi, my name is Mark Bailey and I am a professional tiler for CD Tiling & Decor.

I have been tiling professionally for over 20 years now, and i still enjoy the satisfaction that it gives me, to see the look on the clients face.

I first started out as a painter and decorator, doing a City & Guilds, course in 1988 at Woodbridge college in Suffolk.

From 2016 to 2021 i was working in the Social Hounsing sector doing reactive maintenance repairs, working throughout Covid 19, i was doing 80%plumbing repairs, finding and fixing leaks and dealinmg with some difficult and denmanding tenants. During this time, igained awealth of experience and attained my G3 card, which allows me to work on unvented water tanks.

The main purpose of having a website was to show case to protential clients that CD Tiling & Decor wasn''t a ''cowboy company'', to show off some of the various projects that we have completed, instill confidence that work will be undertaken with due care and attention to detail, to provide informative honest advice  and last but not least - not having to cart around a portfolio of photos.

Please feel free to tell your friends about our website, and have a look at some of our links.

Porcelain and Granite
16x16 porcelain tiles on wall, created a vertical and horizontal border using 10x10mm travertine mosaics. Suspended toilet and wash basin, floor tiled using 18x18 granite tiles with underfloor heating.

Mosaics
I was told off by a client for not having any mosaics on the site.

For you debbie...
1x1 white mosaics on two walls of shower cubicle mixed with 10x10mm coloured mosaics on rear facing wall. ps.
that's why there is not many pictures of mosaics - YOU CANNOT SEE THEM PROPERLY.

Marble
Tiled kitchen floor using 12x12 Wickes marble. A good look at a cheap price.

Slate
24x24 slate floor tiles over underfloor heating and  12x12 slate tiles on the walls in loft room. These tiles were sooo heavy to lift up three flights of stairs and wore me out on the first day.

Ceramics
Ceramics are one of the most popular type of wall and floor tile. They are made of clay, with a glaze on top, which gives the tile its strength.

Ceramics are made in many different colours, and sizes. When I first started tiling back in 1988, ceramics (especially 6x6 tiles) were 90% of what people were using. Now-a-days that figure is totally changed, with Porcelain being the main choice of tile that I am working on.

Terracotta
Terracotta is a natural stone tile and if tiled in a glass conservatory will feel really great in the summer time. This is due to the nature of the tiles ability to soak up heat from the sun rays.

Debbie - Barnes cleaned 12x12 terracota floor tiles using a speciality cleaner and buffing machine.

Debbie - Barnes resealed terracotta floor - how good does that look.

Tiled design
Four different sized tiles. Both the floor and the walls are tiled in a one-off design, using porcelain tiles.
